St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Community is a Roman Catholic Church Parish in the Diocese of Lafayette, located in Southcentral Louisiana, in the city of Lafayette.

Lafayette is situated at the junction of Interstate Highway 10 (Hwy I-10) and Interstate Highway 49 (Hwy I-49), 134 miles northwest New Orleans, Louisiana, and 200 miles east of Houston, Texas. Lafayette is known as the "hub city" and is in the heart of Acadiana.

St. Elizabeth Seton Parish is located in the northeast corner of the city limits of Lafayette, 5 minutes from Hwy. I-10, just a few blocks from a world-famous Cajun restaurant, Prejean's.

Our church is located at 610 Raintree Trail, one block south of the Moss Street and Gloria Switch Road intersection:

    1. Drive north of Hwy. I-10 on Hwy. I-49, take the Gloria Switch Road exit.
    2. Veer to the right and drive east.
    3. At the first red light at Moss Street, turn right.
    4. Drive one block on Moss Street until you reach Raintree Trail.
    5. Turn left on Raintree Trail. We are located on the left.

Church Leadership

On September 14, 1975, in Rome, Italy, an American, Blessed Elizabeth Ann Seton, was canonized by Pope Paul VI. On that day, far away, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Bishop Gerard Frey founded the first church in the world to bear her new title: Saint Elizabeth Seton.
