PRO LIFE MINISTRY

Father :

I know you have a priority to establish a PRO LIFE MINISTRY. We can start with the baby bottle campaign as you spoke about. Maybe get some brochures and Adelle Guillot to speak with the parishioners at all masses. I received the following information which we could put in the Church bulletin announcing the formation of a Pro Life Ministry.

Perhaps some of the parishioners would be interested. We have to start somewhere. This would be a good starting point. The Desormeaux Foundation is based in Lafayette; is Catholic and 100% pro – Life.

Here is what they are offering:

The Theology of the Body Community of Acadiana will begin its outreach and education programs after January 1, 2022 at the Desormeaux Foundation. The first program will be an overview of the Theology of the Body for any adult interested with an option to certify to teach the program.  The program is certified for credit hours of professional development by the Diocese of Lafayette Office of Christian Formation and Catholic Schools.

The overview classes will be held for the public on the following two days:

           January 26, 2022 from 1pm-5pm and

          January 27, 2022 from 9am -5pm.

There is an option to Certify to Teach on January 28, 2022 9am – 5pm.

All three days are required to attend to be certified. Registration fee is $110.00 for the first two classes on Jan. 26 and Jan 27. The certification class on Jan. 28 is $30.00

If interested call (337) 335-3562, to speak with Adelle Guillot. She is VERY PRO LIFE and has been teaching Theology of the Body. She taught Theology of the Body in the Ministries Building.

Thank you for your consideration and time. I will be glad to assist in any way possible.

Ave Maria

God Bless,

Deacon Ron Chauvin
